This is the first comparison between two different smartphones with almost similar price tags. First contender is the new nokia c6-01 and second is samsung wave. Let's compare these two and see who is the winner.
(1) Form Factor- Nokia c6-01 has dimensions 103.8 x 52.5 x 13.9 mm and weighted around 131 gm, While Samsung wave has dimensions 118 x 56 x 10.9 mm and weighted around 118 gm. Thus you can see samsung wave is slimmer, wider and light weighted than nokia c6-01. This round is won by samsung wave easily.
(2) Screen- Nokia c6-01 has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, 3.2 inches screen with clearblack technology which provides a better contrast ratio. While samsung wave has screen with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 3.3 inches wide screen. Nokia c6-01 has 3 page widgetised homescreen while samsung wave has new touchwiz 3.0 homescreen. Thus samsung wave has screen with higher resolution, larger and wider screen size, much better super amoled display and better homescreen. So the winner is samsung wave.
(3) Camera- Nokia c6-01 has camera with 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, fixed focus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection features while samsung wave has camera with 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, image stablilization, touch focus features. while video recoder of nokia c6-01 is 720p@25fps while samsung wave with better frame rate of 720p@30fps. In terms of camera MP nokia c6-01 is better than samsung wave but in terms of camera features and frame per second video recording samsung wave is better than nokia. So this round is won by nokia c6-01 with a little margin.
(4) Operating System- Nokia c6-01 is based on symbian^3 os while samsung wave is on bada os. Symbian^3 is much like s60v5 os with some improvements. Its UI is still boring and uncomfortable while bada os UI is much polished and much better than symbian^3. Bada os is new and in process of devlopement. It will took sometime to make it strong and improved. This round is won by Samsung wave.
(5) Hardware- Nokia c6-01 has a cpu of ARM 11 680 MHz processor, 3D Graphics HW accelerator. It has 256 mb RAM with internal memory of 340 mb. While samsung wave has a better cpu of ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and gpu of SGX 540, which is more powerful than nokia's gpu.It has 512 mb RAM and 2GB internal memory.
(6) Battery- Nokia c6-01 has Li-Ion 1050 mAh battery with 4.5 hours of talktime in 3g and 11.5 hours in 2g network while samsung wave has Li-Ion 1500 mAh with 7hours of talktime in 3g and 15 hours in 2g network. so samsung wave is the winner of this round too.
You can see that samsung wave easily won this battle. Nokia did a fair job to make c6-01. It is a Value for Money Smartphone with a lot of features. In this price tag you cannot find such a phone easily. But when you compare it with samsung wave it can't win. Both Phones are good and value for money. If you are a nokia fan please don't mind it.
