Galaxy S2 Has Dual-core Orion CPU & One GB RAM

Samaung is ready to announce the successor of popular Galaxy S, The new Galaxy S2, Codenamed Seine (as the French river) in MWC 2011. The Galaxy S2 will run the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is based on the Samsung's custom dual-core Orion SoC.

The platform uses two ARM Cortex A9 cores both running at 1GHz like in NVIDIA Tegra 2. Samsung promises up to 5x improvement in the graphics performance compared to the current Hummingbird SoC (single core) so it might as well be the PowerVR SGX543.

The Galaxy S2 can record 1080p (1920*1080 pixels) Full HD video through the 8MP camera. Its RAM is increasedat to 1GB. The Samsung Galaxy S2 should have a 4.3" WVGA screen that uses the next generation Super AMOLED plus technology and should be one of the thinnest phones around (only 9mm of thick). Other features are  NFC  (Near Field Communication) Chip integration  and "Personal Cloud Computing".
