Review: Motorola Atrix 4G

The Motorola Atrix 4G Deemed as the "world's most powerful smartphone", the Motorola Atrix 4G is  impressive with a high-resolution qHD screen, Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM. When it's paired with the Laptop Dock, the real future of smart phones is seen.

Design and Display:

The handset measures 2.5 inches wide by 4.63 inches long, and just 0.43 inches thick, which means that the Atrix is nearly as thin as the iPhone 4. The device has a big 4-inch qHD (Quarter High Definition) display with an ultra-sharp resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Screen is covered with Corning's Gorilla Glass.

 The Motorola Atrix 4G is well designed and feels sturdy in hand. The 4 inch touchscreen display is vibrant and offers a decent viewing angle.




Hardware and Software:

Running Android 2.2, the Atrix 4G includes 7 customizable home screens along with Motorola's Motoblur UI.

The Motorola Atrix 4G comes with Nvidia's new dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor. The powerful handset also comes with a full 1GB of RAM plus 16GB of ROM. A microSD card slot, able to accept cards up to 32GB, provides additional storage.





Camera and Camcorder:

The 5 megapixel shooter on the back of the device, which cranks out impressive shots in both high- and low- light, and can be customized quickly for various settings. The camera also functions as a 720p video camcorder, which is capable to record HD videos even in low light, the results looked sharp.




Extra Features:

Fingerprint Sensor:

The Atrix 4G boasts a fingerprint scanner that also doubles as the phone's power button. It is much better and awesome than traditional PIN or password security feature.



Laptop Dock:

The Motorola Atrix 4G can practically change into a Linux powered laptop that can run Flash and Firefox. The laptop dock literally converts the smartphone into a laptop that can be used just like a regular computer


Preinstalled Apps:

Bar Code Scanner, a trial of Need for Speed Shift, as well as Mobi TV, Quick Office 3.0, Vlingo Voice, and Blockbuster.

Battery Life:

Motorola Atrix 4G has a high-capacity 1930 mAH battery. The company says that this should provide up to 9 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time in 3G mode, while 8.8 hours of talk time and 264 hours of standby time in GSM mode.
