Apple Is Working On Cheaper, Smaller iPhone Mini Or iPhone Nano

Apple is working on new versions of the iPhone which will be smaller and cheaper and are aimed to fight with mid range Android phones.

Google’s share of the global smartphone market is more than  32.9 percent in the 4th quarter, eclipsing Apple’s 16 percent. Apple may face hard challenge as Nokia and Microsoft join forces in smartphone development.

Apple has considered selling the new iPhone for about $200, without obligating users to sign a two-year service contract. The prototype was about one-third smaller than the iPhone 4, and it had no “home” button. It will based on the hardware and screen of current iphone 4 model, not on next generation iphone 5 hardware. Apple may unveil the device near mid 2011.
